On April 24, 2009, Adam Leitman Bailey, Esq.joined Alan Friedman, Esq. in conducting a mock trial with 46 New Milford High School students. The issue at trial was whether a student should be guilty of illegally downloading music from the internet.
The student attorneys joined the “real” practictioner’s in conducting the trial as the attorneys buffered the witnesses with questions after the student at¬torneys conducted their own witness examinations and assisted the student attorneys in obtaining justice for their clients. The student jury found the defendant “not guilty” but everyone in the audience became a winner from the experience and learning achieved.
