After receiving and enjoying their copy of ‘Home,’ a children’s book authored by Adam Leitman Bailey that was sent out as a part of the Home Book Project, the Bushwick Salvation Army decided to invite Mr. Bailey to visit and read the book to students in their educational program. The Home Book Project mailed the book out to various schools, libraries, and non-profit organizations throughout the New York City area and across the country. Ultimately the project aims to give children the confidence to be proud of where they come from no matter the circumstances.
